Carbon celebrates its 10th anniversary and is poised to transform the banking experience for Nigerians

Carbon Finance, one of the main players in the Fintech industrykicked off celebrations to mark his 10eanniversary with the promise to transform the banking experience, making banking services more accessible and flexible for consumers.

Originally created as a credit company, Carbon has established itself as one of the largest and fastest growing digital banks on the continent, with over one million users across the federation and operations in two African countries.

Having started its activities in 2012 as A credit, a physical consumer lender focused on the Nigerian market, the company then pivoted in 2016 to become a digital lender through its Paylater app and focused on access to consumer credit services. With a renewed intention to develop into a fully functional digital financial services platform that offers cost-effective bill payments, free funds transfers, and high-yield savings and investment options in addition to loans, the company rebranded itself as Carbon in 2019 and was granted a microfinance banking license by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
