SeamonWhiteside completes work on Credit One Stadium

SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service field design firm with offices in the Carolinas, is delighted to announce the completion of work on the new Credit One Stadium, formerly known as Volvo Car Stadium on Daniel Island. SeamonWhiteside provided civil engineering and construction administration and was one of two landscape architecture firms on the project. Credit One Stadium opened its doors to the public just in time for the Credit One Charleston Open.

The new stadium has increased the overall capacity from 7,000 to 11,000 and is an ideal venue for concerts and other major international shows.

“We are thrilled with the potential that this new stadium brings to Daniel Island. It has been a pleasure to contribute to this project alongside so many accomplished and talented partners to transform this 20-year-old city-owned facility into a 21st-century world-class sports and performance venue,” said Lee Gastley, Managing Director at SeamonWhiteside. “We cannot wait for the memorable events that will take place in this space for years to come.”

SeamonWhiteside worked closely with architects LS3P and Rossetti and Choate Construction Company.
